Gamma Sigma Alpha Greek Honor Society

Gamma Sigma Alpha is a national academic honor society for fraternity and sorority members, founded at the University of Southern California in 1989 to promote intellectual interaction between students involved in fraternities and sororities, and the academic community.

The purpose of the society is to promote the advancement of education among fraternity and sorority members, to instill a greater spirit of cooperation among members and organizations, and to encourage excellence in scholarship.

Students benefit from this organization by gaining access to the organization’s own “career center” to connect to job opportunities. Scholarships are also available, and the 2024 scholarship application is now open for undergraduate members and graduate alumni.

Eligibility for Invitation to Gamma Sigma Alpha:

Students are eligible for membership based on their grade point average and active membership in a fraternity or sorority recognized by their university. The society strives to uphold the high ideals of scholastic achievement, and therefore, only students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.7 with junior or senior standing are eligible. Students will be invited to apply to Gamma Sigma Alpha based on their previous semester’s GPA via email.
