Students interested in a National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) fraternity or sorority participate in a process called intake. NPHC holds various events throughout the year to introduce students to different organizations. In the fall, the council hosts a week of events referred to as NPHC Week. As part of NPHC Week, the council sponsors an Open House where individual fraternity and sororities present their objectives and disseminate information to prospective members. Each organization takes new members at different times throughout the year. Interested students should contact the chapter in which they are interested.
All students must meet UM Institutional Eligibility Criteria before beginning any process. Each organization may also have requirements. Click here for details on how to become instituionally eligible. A How to Guide (YouTube) to verifying eligibility is also available.
Interested students should attend NPHC Week activities in the Fall. Follow nphc_umich on Instagram for updates! For direct contact information for specific chapters check here
