Letter from the Director March 2024

Dear Fraternity & Sorority Life Alumni and Stakeholders,

It is with great enthusiasm that we share our second edition of FSL Today, our dedicated newsletter designed to keep you informed and engaged with the University of Michigan's fraternity and sorority community. Your ongoing support and interest are what make our endeavors not just possible, but filled with purpose and vitality.  If you know of anyone who wants to sign-up to receive our quarterly newsletter, please invite them to subscribe via our website.

As we continue to build and strengthen our Fraternity & Sorority Life programs, we also strive to honor the rich history and traditions that many of you were part of creating. It is this combination of legacy and innovation that uniquely positions our chapters to lead with distinction and to continue forging a path of excellence.

One of our most cherished traditions, Giving Blueday, is swiftly approaching on March 13, 2024. This remarkable day of philanthropy will be even more special this year, as we celebrate a decade of generosity and impact. Beyond an occasion for giving, it is a day to commemorate the spirit of community and collective action that defines our fraternity and sorority experience at Michigan.

In this milestone 10th year of Giving Blueday, I humbly ask each of you to consider how you can contribute. Whether through financial gifts that help sustain our programs, mentorship that empowers our students, or your participation in events that bring us together, your engagement is crucial.

We are more than just a group of chapters; we are a family that spans generations, and each member's contribution fuels the enduring success of our collective identity. Your stories of success, resilience, and unity are the ones we hope to echo within the halls of our organizations, inspiring our current members to embody the values that have always been at the core of who we are.

As you read through this edition of FSL Today, I hope you feel the pride of our achievements and the excitement for what lies ahead. Please keep an eye out for upcoming editions of FSL Today where we can all come together to celebrate the spirit of Michigan's Fraternity & Sorority Life.

Thank you, as always, for your unwavering support and your commitment to empower the future. Together, we are not just maintaining traditions; we are creating legacies that will resonate for generations to come.

With deepest appreciation,

Travis L. Martin, Ph.D.
