MGC: Celebrating Community, the Annual Gala returns

Each year, the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) at the University of Michigan brings members together for one of the council’s most anticipated traditions—the MGC Gala. On March 29, 2026, students will once again gather to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year and recognize the leaders who continue to shape the vibrant MGC community.

The MGC Gala serves as a meaningful opportunity for members of multicultural fraternities and sororities to reflect on their shared experiences, celebrate their achievements, and strengthen the bonds that connect the council. The evening brings together students from across MGC organizations for a night of recognition, celebration, and community.

A highlight of the Gala is the presentation of annual awards honoring outstanding members and chapters. These recognitions celebrate leadership, academic success, and the positive contributions MGC students make to both the Fraternity & Sorority Life community and the broader University of Michigan campus. The awards serve as a reminder of the dedication and passion students bring to their organizations and the meaningful impact they have on those around them.

In addition to recognizing student achievements, the Gala provides an opportunity for members to connect and celebrate the diversity that defines the MGC community. Students will gather for an evening that blends culture, tradition, and celebration—hallmarks of the multicultural fraternity and sorority experience at Michigan. Events like the MGC Gala create space for reflection on the year’s accomplishments while also strengthening the sense of unity and pride within the council.

For alumni of fraternity and sorority life at Michigan, the continued success of events like the MGC Gala highlights the strength and growth of the multicultural fraternity and sorority community. MGC organizations play a vital role in fostering leadership, cultural awareness, and community engagement across campus, and the Gala offers a moment to celebrate those contributions.

As students gather on March 29, the evening will serve as both a celebration of the present and a continuation of a tradition that honors the dedication of MGC members year after year.
