What is Panhellenic Fall Recruitment?

This fall the Panhellenic community is excited to welcome eligible sophomores, juniors, seniors and transfer students to participate in Fall Recruitment. Female University of Michigan students are eligible to participate in Fall Recruitment contingent on (1) they meet the eligibility requirements outlined by the university, (2) they have never been initiated into any National Panhellenic Conference sorority, (3) during continuous open bidding (COB) in the Winter 2019 they did not sign the Membership Recruitment Acceptance Binding Agreement (MRABA) and/or depledge from a National Panhellenic Conference sorority

What is Fall Recruitment?

Fall Recruitment is different from COB in that every sorority on campus will extend bids to PNMs, however it is still considered an informal recruitment process.

Registration is required for Fall Recruitment, and as a Potential New Member (PNM), you will be assigned a group with which you will attend the Meet & Greet Round (9/14). After the conclusion of the Meet & Greet Round, chapters will invite PNMs back for their next round (9/15). PNMs are not required to attend the events of every chapter who invited them back, however, it is strongly recommended that PNMs attend as many recruitment events as possible in order to not limit their options.

Finally, at the conclusion of Round Three (9/16), you will list the sororities you would like to join in the order of your preference. Sorority preferences are submitted, and a process known as “bid matching” takes place. As a new member, you will celebrate the end of Recruitment on Bid Day!

Eligible students will need to register by Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 11:59 pm to participate. Registration is currently not open. Check back later for updates. There will be a small registration fee.
