COVID-19 Academic Reporting Update

Winter 2020, Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 Fraternity & Sorority Life Academic Reporting Update

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Michigan suspended in-person classes and transitioned to remote instruction on March 12, 2020.  This change affected the standard grading procedures and therefore changed the timeline and available data for the academic reports prepared by Fraternity & Sorority Life.

Winter 2020

The Winter 2020 undergraduate grading policy allowed students to receive either a “P” (Pass) or “NRC” (No Record COVID-19) for each class. University professors and instructors continued to record letter grades so students are able to convert a P or NRC to an A-E letter grade.  Students had until July 1, 2020 to request to have the grade converted.  Students may select P/NRC or A-E grade for each class independently.  Additional details are available from the Office of the Registrar.

In order to provide accurate reports, FSL could not produce chapter academic reports after the deadline for winter semester grades, July 1, 2020.  Requests for reports may be submitted at any time. After the data is received from the Office of the Registrar reports will be prepared and sent out in the order received.

Fall 2020 and Winter 2021

The University of  Michigan continuted with adjusted grading policies for the 2020-2021 academic school year.  See the Office of the Registrar for complete details
