Fraternity & Sorority Life at the University of Michigan, in conjuction with schools all around the country, is recognizing National Hazing Prevention Week with a series of activities and programs.

  • 9/20/21  Monday: Four Council Fest on the Diag: 11-1pm

    • Join us on the Diag for some trivia about hazing, obtain  resources, and learn about our different councils and chapters. Stop by the FSL table to be entered in to raffle for a gift card.

    • Audience: Students

  • 9/21/21 Tuesday: Let’s Talk Hazing: 7-8pm 

    • Hazing is real and happening on this campus. Spend time talking about what is hazing, how to notice it and how to reduce harm within our community.

    • Audience: Students

  • 9/22/21  Wednesday: Building Team and Community without Hazing: 5:30-6:30pm

    • Often groups get caught up in "tradition" that is harmful to other individuals. Join us to learn how to cultivate building a community without hazing. Hazing.

    • Audience: Students and Chapter Advisors

 

  • 9/23/21  Thursday: Recognizing Hazing at Home: Teaching families how to identify hazing: 8-9:30PM

    • When parents, family and support persons think of hazing it is typically the forced alcohol and beating. Hazing is much more than that and typically family knows more than they think!

    • Audience: Parent and Family Members

  • 9/24/21 Friday: ATTN Org Advisors: They’re Hazing [virtual lunch] 12-1pm EST

    • 40% of coaches and/or advisors are aware of hazing taking place in the chapter. 20% have taken part. Come learn what hazing is and how to stop it before it starts!

    • Audience: Chapter and Campus Advisors

 

  • All Week: Banner/Graphic Contest - Post to Social Media and Tag us

    • Submissions should be posted on Instagram with the tag @umichfsl and #nhpw.
