In Winter 2026 there are a number of opportunities to join the Panhellenic sorority community after Primary Recruitment concludes.
The Panhellenic Association (Panhel), established at Michigan in the first decade of the 20th century, provides opportunities for life-long friendships, personal development, academic success, community service and educational growth to over 3,000 students each year. The council is comprised of values-based organizations that create and execute programming surrounding topics such as mental health, sexual assault awareness, philanthropy and service, academic growth, sisterhood, and creating positive change.
The council prides itself on being the largest all-women’s organization on campus. This guides programming around leadership development and creating supportive networks of women, including our Peer Educator Programming and Social Liaison Training. The Panhellenic Association is a community of women across chapters that support one another and strive to promote a well-rounded Michigan experience.

Panhel COB/Non-Primary Recruitment Chapter Logistics Information
This information is for chapter use only. It provides instructions on the logistical steps chapters need to take when adding new members via Continuous Open Bidding (COB)/Non-Primary Recruitment
Remember that students who are interested in joining a Panhellenic chapter must meet institutional eligibility requirements and chapters must verify the eligibility. Chapters should direct students to the FSL Website (How to Join).
Panhellenic Peer Educator Program
The Panhellenic Peer Educator Program began in the fall of 2015 with a goal to increase awareness and educate their community on issues of sexual violence. Panhellenic women from various chapters came together to learn more about these issues, create educational programming, and serve as allies for their Panhellenic sisters.
Junior Panhellenic
The Junior Panhellenic is an educational and service program sponsored by and modeled on the greater College Panhellenic. It is composed of two representatives of each recognized Panhel chapter on campus, who are new members and newly initiated members. Junior Panhel encourages the special responsiblities and good campus citizenship that all sorority membership entails while fostering intersorority relationships.
